Reporting Crimes by Voice Message or E-mail
In an emergency you should always dial 999. However, for some non-emergency minor crimes, the police have set up a secure e-mail based crime reporting system which is designed to handle the following crimes only:

- Theft
- Criminal damage/vandalism
- Theft from a motor vehicle
- Damage to a motor vehicle

To use this method of reporting, visit www.police.uk and select the link to Non-Emergency Minor Crime Notification.

For all other crimes, please contact your local station on 0845 8 505 505. As officers are now all issued with mobile phones, you may, when contacting the call centre, ask to leave a voicemail message for a named officer who will be required to check this twice per tour of duty.
