Built in the style of a grand French Chateau,
this imposing building houses a collection of Gainsborough
and Reynolds paintings. The gardens are extensive and well
presented (it even has a children's garden and an aviary).
There are two restaurants (both of a high standard), one near
the house and one in the old stables.
The staff are friendly and helpful and tour
guides are available. We recommend regular visits as there
are often special events such as flower shows, wine tasting
etc.
